Lightspeed : Organic Espresso Blend

Punch it, Chewie!! Our signature organic espresso blend contains 100% Organic Certified* beans, from a handful of farms around the planet. This blend is a sophisticated espresso with a spicy and floral aroma of irises, successive layers of cinnamon and milk chocolate, with a caramel finish. With milk, the flavors melt into hot buttered rum. Great as a straight shot or with just a touch of milk as a macchiatto. Mild as drip.

Doubleplusgood : Organic Blend

At last! The Doctor has returned from the future with our beloved Brazil, after uncovering an evil conspiracy in which the Daleks had been stealing commodities from Earth's past time periods for the sole purpose of sending the planet careening toward The Apocalypse. For now, danger has been thwarted, and deliciousness is once again, restored. More than just plusgood, it's doubleplusgood. Made from Organic Certified* coffees from Brazil and Ethiopia, it's full-bodied and satiny-smooth, with rich chocolatey flavor. All competing pleasures will be destroyed. Doubleplusgood has always been perfect for drip, with milk or black. (don't tell Big Brother, but it also makes a darn good shot of espresso too!)
Price: $17/lb

The TimeLord (Seasonal 2) : Organic Blend

While the Daleks and our stolen Brasil continue to elude The Doctor, a twist in their evil plan has emerged: A Clone. The Brasil we discover in this episode is so close to our beloved Brasil (featured in Doubleplusgood) that we were almost fooled. Upon blending it with our famous Ethiopia, however, the truth was revealed. This blend yields an utterly unique and complex flavor profile. The first sip opens with the subtle astringent-sweet taste of raw walnuts, then moves into the lush juicy sweetness of ripe pink apples just before a surprisingly rich finish of dark chocolate. With milk, you'll think of dulce de leche with a bit of junk in the trunk. This seasonal is going to keep you on the edge of your seat!

Single-Origins

Organic Uganda Bigisu

We are honored to offer this remarkable coffee grown in the shade of large trees in Uganda's misty Mount Elgon region. The women farmers of the Gumutindo group, who produce this coffee, say, "It is widely accepted that women farmers make a large contribution to the production of coffee on the smallholder farm, but derive a disproportionately low financial benefit from their work, because most coffee is owned and sold by men, who do not reliably share the earnings with their wives. This constitutes a social injustice that Gumutindo would like to change." Uganda Bugisu is deeply sweet and has only a very subtle acidity. Its complex layers open with the frangrance of white flowers, then reveal the nuttiness of marcona almonds – all supported base of rich, damp earthiness. With milk, the latent caramel flavors come to the forefront.

Organic Congo SOPACDI

We love this luscious coffee from Congo's SOPACDI farmer group. During the years of brutal conflict in Congo, many farmers had no choice but to leave their land and, if they stayed, had to risk their lives to smuggle coffee to Rwanda for export. Many farmers became widows as a result and now have organized across ethnic lines to improve their lives and communities through coffee production. The 20% of SOPACDI farmers who are women receive a premium price for their beans, allowing them to support their families and hold more secure positions in their communities. This intriguing coffee has a forward palate of smoke and black tea, which is quickly overtaken by rich muskmelon and earthiness in the middle. Milk transforms the cup into peachy sweetness.
Price: $17/lb

Organic Ethiopia Amaro Natural

This sparkling gem of a coffee comes to us by way of Ethiopia's only female miller and exporter, Asnakech Thomas. A full-bodied cup with spicy-sweet fruit flavor, like just-ripe banana and rich blueberry. A unique, dazzling coffee.
Price: $18/lb
